Christmas Joy

Hello again, hope everyone is having a great weekend.

It's been a while since I've made a card using a vintage image, so here ya go. This is my entry for the Corrosive Challenge - Challenge #86 "Get Rid of the White"
and the Flutterby Wednesday Challenge #127.

I went really shabby and distressed on this one. The papers are from My Minds Eye "Signature Christmas" collection, all soft muted colors with lots of glitter.

Hope you enjoyed your visit, leave me some love. Have a Happy Scrappy Day!

I'm only Naughty...

Hello my happy scrappy friends, hope everyone is having a great Tuesday.

My card today is an entry for the "Challenge #2 Color Challenge - Orange, Purple & Green" over at Digi's With Attitude! and also for the challenge over at "Cowgirl-Up Designs - Create your own background Challenge.

Once again Gretchen is rockin' an attitude, and this time she's being Naughty too, but only on days that end in Y.

My first thought for this challenge of course was to go with another Halloween Card but enough of the Halloween thing already!! So being twisted as I am, this is what I came up with. Hope you like it.

I'm not a big fan of the color purple so my choices on hand were limited and mostly "Halloweeny" - is that a word ? So I started with a piece of white cardstock and stamped the purple, orange & green images for my background paper.

Added a few purple rhinestones -

Purple & green flowers and piece of black tulle.

Thanks for the peek-a-boo. Have a Happy Scrappy Day!

Hugs & Kisses

Hello all!

Check out this little cutie pa-tootie!

It's another of Holly Hobbie's friends. These images are easy to find on-line and the best part, free.

I'm luvin' these soft shades of olive green and plum. I've stitched and inked the edges of the image, colored with watercolor pencils, and added a bit of vintage lace trim, flower, leaves, sentiment and a button.

Thanks for taking the time to peek. Have a Happy Scrappy Day!

Double Pocket Tag Card

Hello again and happy Sunday everyone!
I wanted to share with you the Double Pocket Tag Card I made with the prize package that I won in the challenge over at You can also check out Meredith's youtube video for the instructions on making this card.

I've inked all the edges, added lace trim, a lock & a key charm, pearls, and flowers.

The card with the tags removed. (oops, I meant to round the corner.)

The front side of the tags. I've stamped and inked the edges.

If you've been following my blog you know I'm kinda quirky - as my fiance says, lol - about finishing the back side of everything, so of course I have to make all my tags double sided.

Thanks for the peek-a-boo. Have a Happy Scrappy Day!

Angel By Light . . .

Hello again, hope everyone is having a great weekend!

My card today was created for the Digi's With Attitude! Challenges - Ways To Use It "METAL". You gotta check out the AWESOME digital images in their store here and while you're drooling grab the Grumpy Gretchen freebie for October that I used on this card. This girl has 'tude!!

OK, so my use of use of metal is the stick pin I made from a broken bracelet and a corsage pin. I've also included a metal look with the silver trim around the image and the silver embossed edges of the printed paper, (haven't used that in a looooong time).

This is the same paper collection that I used on the "Audrey Hepburn" card yesterday, "To Love & Cherish" from Imaginisce. I'm just sooo luvin' this black & white stuff.

I thought this sentiment was perfect for Miss Thang with the attitude "Angel by Light...Naughty by Night".

Very important to finish the inside and backside of your cards, ladies. And a matching envelope is always a bonus!
Thanks for peeking, have a Happy Scrappy Day!

Audrey Hepburn

Hello again, it's finally Friday and I'm looking forward to "gettin' my craft on" all weekend!
Black, white, pink and Audrey Hepburn, what's not to love about this one? My sister celebrated her "29th" yeah ok, birthday yesterday so I can finally post her card now.

This paper collection is "To Love & Cherish" from Imaginisce and it is beautiful! Beautiful enough for an Audrey Hepburn image!

Thanks for taking a peek. Have a Happy Scrappy Weekend!

This girl is Fabulous!! There's alot going on here. I used a Bratz freebie image downloaded from the internet and colored with watercolor pencils. The sentiment is from Create with TLC - great freebies, Thanks TLC - matted with Storybook Cricut Scalloped frame. Oh, and Glitter Mist too!

The background paper is distressed, inked, machine stitched and embossed with the Cuttlebug, I've also used prima flowers, vintage lace, and rhinestones.

Inside sentiment.

Thanks for taking a peek at my pretties. Have a Happy Scrappy Day!

Happy Halloween

Hello all! Hope everyone had a great day.
I'm back tonight with a Halloween Card I made for the
Day 220 Color Scheme Challenge at 365 Cards.

The sentiment is a digital freebie I've downloaded, sorry I don't remember the site that it came from, - I really need to get better about noting the artist and giving credit where its due. I really like this one and I'm sure I'll be using it often.

I used the Martha Stewart goohy border punch, prima flowers, purple rhinestones, ribbon and Diamond Stickles to the edges of the sentiment, flower and the spider. Ever see a sparkly spider?

Can you believe I managed to complete a card without distressing, inking or stitching? I know, not usually my style but I like it.

And of course, finished off with a siggie and date.
Thanks for peeking, have a Happy Scrappy Day!
